Mr. Dan: Assistant TKD Instructor
Dan Smith started Tae Kwon Do, with his daughter, in April of 2006. He started TKD, as a way for him and his daughter Marena to spend time together. Little did he know, he was about to find his greatest passsion. Dan has greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He still enjoys kayaking with his family and friends, but his heart and soul belongs to Tae Kwon Do. It was not long after Dan got his first belt, that he asked Mr. G if he could help with the little kickers class. He was then hooked. He asked his wife if she cared that he went to class 4 times a week, because he really wanted to earn his black belt.
His love of Tae Kwon Do is not just in his black belt, and all the trophy's he has won, but in his love and joy he has found in the sport of TKD, and teaching the kids. Dan is the "Old Man" in the class, as he had found his passion and love for TKD in his late 30's early 40's. Dan gets excited every time he learns a new form, he is like a kid with a new toy. He has also established new friendships with Mr G. as well as with the children and there parents.
Dan received his black belt in November of 2008, and he received his first Grand Champion trophy in Febuary of 2009.
Mr. Dan is looking forward to earning his 2nd Dan in the fall of 2010.
